When Review Reveals Drift

The yearly check-in exists to catch a hard truth early: sometimes you discover you have quietly drifted apart. A goal one of you cared about has faded, or a new one has taken over.

Resist two reactions. Do not panic and treat drift as failure, and do not paper over it to keep the peace. Drift is information, not a verdict.

Name what changed out loud, then rebuild from there. Update the overlaps, retire goals that no longer fit, and add the ones that do. A vision you revise on purpose is far stronger than one you let quietly expire.
