LESSON 2 · Small Gestures, Deep Bonds
When Rituals Break Down
Every couple hits stretches where established rituals fade. A new job disrupts morning coffee. A baby ends evening walks. Life changes inevitably strain your connection routines.
The key is spotting the breakdown early and adapting rather than abandoning the ritual. If morning coffee is impossible, shift to evening tea. If date night cannot happen, swap in a 20-minute porch conversation after the kids sleep.
The container matters less than the intention. When one ritual dies, build another right away rather than letting the gap grow into permanent disconnection.
