LESSON 1 · Release the Parent Guilt
Guilt as a Cultural Product
Much of your guilt was manufactured. Social media, parenting blogs, and well-meaning relatives have created an impossible standard that no generation before you was expected to meet. Your grandparents sent kids outside and called them home for dinner. They did not worry about screen time, organic food, or enrichment activities. Their children turned out fine. This is not permission to disengage. It is permission to release the manufactured guilt and focus on what actually matters: being present, being warm, and being willing to repair when you fall short.
