LESSON 3 · Calm Home, Happy Family

Three Connection Points

The energy anchors give the day its shape. Three small connection points give it warmth, and everything between them can flex:

  1. Morning connection: two minutes of eye contact and presence before the rush begins
  2. After-school reconnection: fifteen minutes of undivided attention
  3. Bedtime ritual: the predictable, warm ending that signals safety

Between these moments, let the day breathe. Children need unstructured time to process their experiences, build creativity, and simply exist without performing. Over-schedule and you get exhausted, anxious children; under-structure and you get chaotic, insecure ones.
