Struggle Is the Curriculum

Growth does not happen in the comfort zone. It happens at the edge where things feel hard but not impossible.

This is not neglect or cruelty. It is the same principle behind effective teaching, athletic coaching, and skill development of every kind. The struggle must feel real to the child, or the growth does not occur. Rescuing too early robs them of the lesson.
