LESSON 1 · Screens: The Modern Battle

What Screens Replace

The biggest danger of screens is not what they do — it is what they replace. Every hour on a screen is an hour not spent in free play, face-to-face conversation, or physical movement.

Unstructured play develops executive function, social skills, and emotional regulation. Physical movement builds neural connections for learning. Boredom drives creativity. Screens crowd out the experiences a developing brain actually needs.
