The Problem-Solving Script

After emotions cool, try: "It sounds like you both have a problem. What ideas do you have for solving it?" Then wait. Resist the urge to jump in with your solution.

If they are stuck, offer exactly two options: "You could take turns, or you could find something to play together. Which works for you?" Limited choices prevent decision paralysis while preserving their sense of agency. Let them choose, then hold them to their choice.
