Building the Team Identity

Kids who see themselves as a team fight less than kids who see themselves as competitors. Cultivate the team identity with your words:

• "You two figured that out together — what a team."
• "The Johnson kids always help each other."
• "Your sister is lucky to have you in her corner."

Accept that they will not always like each other. Siblings do not need to be best friends. They need to be bonded enough to show up when it matters.
