When Silence Beats Praise

Not every moment needs a comment. Often the strongest response is interested attention: "You built that really tall," or just pulling up a chair and watching them work.

So spend your real, specific praise where it counts: on effort, risk, and growth. The child who tries something new, sticks with something frustrating, or finally cracks a thing they used to fail — that is the moment for warm, detailed feedback.
