LESSON 1 · What Your Body Actually Needs
Common Macro Mistakes
The most frequent error is dramatically cutting one macronutrient and expecting magic. Eliminating carbs tanks your energy. Cutting fat disrupts hormones. Slashing protein costs you muscle.
Another mistake is obsessing over ratios while ignoring food quality. Carbs from candy versus sweet potatoes are not the same — the numbers might look identical on paper, but the fiber, vitamins, and satiety are worlds apart.
People also forget that liquid calories count. A smoothie with protein powder, banana, peanut butter, and oat milk can easily pack 60 grams of carbs and 25 grams of fat. Track drinks the same as food if you are monitoring macros.
