LESSON 3 · What Your Body Actually Needs

Smart Hydration Habits

Better hydration does not require obsessive tracking. Focus on a few principles:

  • Front-load your water — a full glass when you wake up replaces overnight losses
  • Drink before you feel thirsty — thirst lags behind your actual fluid level
  • Pair water with meals — it aids digestion and nutrient absorption
  • Watch caffeine and alcohol — both raise urine output, so add extra water to compensate
  • Carry a bottle — the simplest change with the biggest effect on daily intake

Made automatic, these habits ward off the chronic low-grade dehydration most people never notice.
