Metabolism Boosters Debunked
Green tea extract, cayenne pepper, apple cider vinegar — the internet overflows with "metabolism-boosting" foods. Their effects are real but laughably small, far too minor to outweigh what you eat overall.
Cold exposure does raise metabolic rate through thermogenesis, but shivering your way thin is neither practical nor pleasant. The calories spent rewarming your body are modest next to the discomfort.
The only boosters that reliably matter are building muscle and staying active — the same unglamorous habits that work for everything else.
