Night Owls and Early Birds

Not everyone's clock keeps the same hours. Your chronotype is your natural lean toward early mornings or late nights, and it is shaped largely by your genes, not by willpower.

That is why some people wake bright and alert at dawn while others hit their stride after dark. Chronotype also drifts with age: most teenagers run late, while many older adults wake early. Fighting your type is hard, but morning light can nudge a late clock a little earlier.
