Order And Interference
When you do both in one session, the order should follow your goal. If strength is the priority, lift weights first, while your nervous system is fresh, then do cardio. If endurance matters most, flip the order.
Doing both in the same program — concurrent training — was once thought to cause an "interference effect" that blunted gains. Newer research shows this effect is minimal for most recreational exercisers. Only competitive athletes specializing in a single domain need to worry about it.
