LESSON 2 · Colors That Make You Glow

Spring Palette Pitfalls

The biggest trap is reaching for cool-toned pastels instead of warm ones. A cool lavender behaves very differently from a warm peach, and Springs thrive in the warm version. When in doubt, pick the version of any color with a golden or yellow base rather than a blue or gray base.

The second trap is chasing depth in the wrong way. When an outfit feels flat, add interest through texture and warm-toned accessories — a woven knit, a tan leather bag, a gold chain — rather than darkening the whole look. Richness can come from how a fabric catches light, not just from a deeper color.
