LESSON 3 · The Body-Confident Wardrobe
The Complete Pear Playbook
These silhouettes work best for pear proportions:
- A-line skirts: flare gently from the waist, skimming hips and thighs without clinging
- Bootcut and wide-leg trousers: balance hip width by adding volume at the hem
- Structured blazers: add shoulder definition and an inverted-triangle line up top
- Off-shoulder and boat-neck tops: widen the shoulder line to match the hips
- Empire and fit-and-flare dresses: cinch above the fullest part and flow over it
Avoid clingy fabrics on the lower half and skinny jeans tucked into ankle boots, which put your widest point front and center.
