Balance Top and Bottom

Here is the move that separates good from great: do not pile volume on both halves at once. If your top is fitted, let the bottom carry the movement, like a snug knit over a flowing skirt. If your trousers are slim, let the top add soft drape on its own.

Volume everywhere reads shapeless. Tight everywhere reads strained. Pairing one fitted half with one flowing half keeps your waist as the anchor and lets the rest of the outfit breathe.
