The Versatility Test

Every piece must pass one test: can it make at least three clearly different outfits? If it only works in a single combination, it does not belong in a capsule.

Prove it by pairing each piece against every other item. A white oxford that works with trousers, jeans, and under a sweater passes. A loud novelty blouse that only suits black pants fails. That test is the whole reason fifteen pieces can feel like fifty.
