LESSON 4 · Makeup in Minutes
Finding Your Perfect Shade
Your most flattering blush shade already exists on your face. Pinch your cheeks lightly and observe the natural flush that appears. This is the color your blush should replicate. For most people, this falls in the rose, peach, or berry family.
Cool undertones look best in rose and mauve shades. Warm undertones glow in peach and coral. Neutral undertones can wear either family successfully. If you are unsure, a dusty rose shade is the most universally flattering color that works on virtually every skin tone.
Avoid blush shades that are dramatically different from your natural flush. Bright orange blush on cool-toned skin looks feverish. Icy pink blush on warm-toned skin looks ashy.
