Thinnest To Thickest

When you do layer several products, order matters. The rule is easy to remember: thinnest to thickest.

A full morning, in order: cleanser, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen (add a toner or essence only if you actually use one).

A full evening, in order: cleanser, treatment such as retinol, moisturizer.

Most people only ever need three or four of these steps. The order stops feeling like a checklist after about a week of doing it.
