The Tailor Solution
A good tailor is the most underused tool in menswear. Basic alterations usually cost less than a casual dinner out, and they turn a decent off-the-rack garment into something that looks made for you.

The smart move: buy for the shoulders and chest first, then tailor the rest. Shoulders and chest are costly and tricky to alter, so they have to be right in the store. Sleeves, waist, and length are cheap and easy to adjust later.
