Break The Scent Cycle

Clean every marked spot with enzymatic cleaner, not regular soap. Ordinary cleaners leave a scent the dog can still smell.

That leftover smell is the whole problem. The dog marks, smells it the next day, and marks again to refresh the signal — an endless loop. Erase the scent and you cut the conversation off at the source.
