LESSON 2 · Manners, Not Mayhem

Set Up For Success

Management comes before training. While the new habits form, shrink the temptations: tuck shoes into closets, drop remotes in a drawer, and lift cushions out of reach. Get charging cables off the floor too, since a chewed cord is a real shock and burn hazard.

At the same time, give your dog a rotating set of legal chews. Dogs tire of the same toy fast, so keep three or four and swap them every few days so they feel new again.
