LESSON 5 · Manners, Not Mayhem

When Energy Goes Unspent

Unspent energy does not just sit there quietly. It compounds. Each skipped day of real work stacks onto the last, and the bill always comes due — as a dug-up bed, a shredded cushion, or a sixty-pound greeting at the front door. A bored working dog will invent a job, and its inventions rarely match yours. The fix is not more punishment for the symptom. It is paying the energy bill before the dog collects it.
