The Extinction Method
The fix flips the deal. If jumping no longer earns a reaction, your dog stops bothering. The moment the paws leave the floor, you go cold: turn your back, fold your arms, look away. No eye contact, no words, no touch.

This only works if it's absolute. The catch is brutal: if one person lets the dog jump "because it's cute" while everyone else turns away, you haven't softened the rule — you've made it worse.
