The Park Test

Dog parks are high-intensity social environments that suit confident, well-socialized dogs with good play skills. A fearful, reactive, or resource-guarding dog does not belong in that environment — not because they are bad, but because the situation sets them up for failure.

Before your first visit, your dog needs solid recall, the ability to disengage from play on cue, and comfort with being touched and approached by unfamiliar dogs.
