Participant, Not Prisoner

The difference is concrete. Instead of pinning the dog to clip nails, you teach them to offer a paw and hold still on their own. Instead of forcing a bath, you teach them to step into the tub on cue.

This takes longer to teach at first but saves enormous time later. A dog that cooperates with grooming does not need two people and a muzzle.
