LESSON 1 · Level Up: Advanced Commands

Real-World Application

On walks, use "say hi" only when the approaching person consents. Ask "would you like to say hello to my dog?" before cueing the greeting. This prevents unwanted interactions and models responsible ownership.

At home, implement the greeting protocol for every visitor. The dog sits at a designated spot when the doorbell rings. You open the door, greet the guest, then cue "say hi" when settled. Visitors should be briefed in advance — especially the rule about ignoring the dog until the cue is given.
