Fading the Lure

Once the lured spin is solid, drop the treat from your hand. Make the same circle with an empty hand and reward from your other hand. The dog follows the gesture out of muscle memory.

Then shrink the signal step by step: a full arm circle becomes a wrist circle, then a small finger twirl. That tiny cue is what makes the spin look like magic — onlookers cannot see what set it off.

Last, add the word. Say "spin," then give the hand signal.
