Every Push Gets Pushed Back
Newton's Third Law sounds poetic: every action has an equal and opposite reaction. People think it means karma or balance. It's far more literal.
Push against a wall, and the wall pushes back on your hand with exactly the same force. If it didn't, your hand would go through it.
So why does anything move? Because the two forces act on different objects. When you jump, your legs push Earth down and Earth pushes you up. Same force, but you have 75 kg and Earth has 6 × 10²⁴ kg. Guess who accelerates more.
