Prediction Machine

Your brain is not passively receiving reality. It is constantly predicting what will happen next and comparing predictions against incoming data. What you perceive as sight, sound, and touch is mostly your brain's best guess, corrected by sensory input.

This is why optical illusions work. Your brain's prediction model is so dominant that it overrides raw visual data. You literally see what you expect to see, not what your eyes report. Perception is controlled hallucination.
