Every example so far runs on one idea: sweetness, color, and even chemical defenses are all payments a plant makes to get its seeds moved. The same logic shows up everywhere once you look for it.

Next, that logic gets subtler. Color turns out to be tuned to a carrier's exact eyesight, some plants cheat the system, and one molecule can do two jobs at once.
