A film called **AeroSHARK**, stamped with tiny shark-style riblets, is applied to airliner fuselages. The ridges smooth airflow and cut roughly **1%** of fuel and carbon per flight. On a long-haul fleet flying daily, that quietly adds up to thousands of tons of jet fuel saved.
