Guard the wasp's young like a zombie bodyguard
After the wasp's larvae chew their way out to pupate, the dying caterpillar stops feeding and stands over them, thrashing its head to knock away predators. In experiments, removing these bodyguards roughly doubled the pupae's death rate.
