Toxoplasma gondii
This single-celled parasite can only complete its life cycle inside a cat. To get there, it tweaks the fear circuits in a rat's brain, so the rat stops avoiding cat odor and may even be drawn to it. A bolder rat is more likely to be eaten, which delivers the parasite straight to its next host.
