LESSON 1 · Your Brain Explained
Neurons Fire Together
When you learn something new, the connection between neurons that fire at the same time strengthens through a process called long-term potentiation — the cellular basis of learning.
The flip side matters just as much: unused pathways weaken through synaptic pruning. Skills fade without practice because the brain recycles underused hardware for new purposes. "Neurons that fire together wire together" is not just a metaphor — it describes real physical restructuring every time you practice.
