LESSON 2 · Poison, Cure & Everything Between
The Invisible Weapon
Poison is a chemical substance that disrupts normal biological processes when absorbed in sufficient quantity. What makes it unique as a weapon is its invisibility — no wound, no weapon, and for most of history, no reliable way to detect it.

Arsenic was called the "king of poisons and the poison of kings." It was odorless, tasteless, and produced symptoms identical to common diseases like cholera and dysentery — so a poisoning looked like an ordinary illness.
