When Answers Are Ranges
So often the right answer is a band, not a point. You need at least 8 hours of sleep. A prescription has a safe dose range, not one exact value. A thermostat holds a comfortable span, not a single degree. Inequalities describe every situation where staying within bounds matters more than hitting an exact number.

One last habit worth keeping: read the boundary carefully. An open circle or a strict < or > leaves the endpoint out, while a filled circle or ≤ and ≥ include it. That single mark decides whether a value just barely qualifies — the difference between "under 65" and "65 or less" on the same road.
