Framing Changes Everything

How a choice is presented matters as much as the choice itself. Doctors told a surgery has a 90% survival rate recommend it eagerly. Told the same surgery has a 10% mortality rate, they hesitate.

The information is identical, but the frame changes the decision. Marketers know this: ground beef labeled 95% lean outsells the same beef labeled 5% fat. How you present options — opt-in versus opt-out, gain versus loss — shapes what people choose while leaving them feeling completely free.
