Electric Motors Win
An internal combustion engine converts only about 20 to 35 percent of fuel energy into motion. The rest is lost as heat. An electric motor converts over 85 to 90 percent of electrical energy into wheel movement. That efficiency gap is not a minor detail — it is the fundamental reason EVs are displacing gasoline cars.

Electric motors also deliver instant torque — full rotational force from zero RPM. That is why even modest EVs feel quick off the line. Fewer moving parts mean less maintenance: no oil changes, no transmission fluid, no timing belts.
