LESSON 2 · Green Tech That's Actually Working
Charging Infrastructure Challenge
Range anxiety has largely been solved — most new EVs exceed 300 kilometers on a single charge, and many surpass 500. The remaining barrier is charging access. Urban apartment dwellers without home charging, highway travelers in rural areas, and commercial fleets all need public fast chargers that are reliable, abundant, and affordable.

DC fast chargers can add 200 kilometers of range in about 15 to 20 minutes. Tesla's Supercharger network — the world's largest — proved that reliable, well-placed stations drive adoption. The charging infrastructure gap is now closing faster than most analysts predicted even two years ago.
