Nazca Lines geoglyphs
Carved between 500 BC and 500 AD by removing dark pebbles to expose lighter sand, the Nazca Lines form animals and geometric shapes up to 370 meters across. They are best seen from above, though some can also be viewed from nearby hills or viewing platforms. The dry Peruvian desert preserved them for 2,000 years.
