Where did the name 'Cubism' come from?

From a critic mocking Braque's 'little cubes'

In 1908 the critic Louis Vauxcelles dismissed Braque's landscapes as being full of 'little cubes.' The jab was meant as an insult, but the label stuck — and the movement proudly took the name for itself.
