The Golden Mean
Aristotle's most powerful idea is that every virtue sits between two extremes. Courage is the sweet spot between cowardice and recklessness. Generosity lives between stinginess and wastefulness. Once you see this pattern, you start spotting it everywhere.

The mean is not a mathematical midpoint — it shifts depending on who you are and what the situation demands. A firefighter needs more courage than an accountant. The skill is reading each moment and finding the appropriate response, not the average one.
