Less but Better

Essentialism is not about getting more done in less time. It is about getting the right things done. The philosophy, popularized by Greg McKeown, starts with a blunt truth: if you do not prioritize your life, someone else will.

Most people spread themselves across dozens of commitments, saying yes to everything and doing nothing well. The essentialist makes a different trade: fewer things, done with full commitment. The German designer Dieter Rams captured it perfectly: "Less, but better."
