LESSON 3 · The Quest for Meaning
Living Essentially
Essentialism ends with one question: if you could keep only three commitments in your life, which three would they be? The answer reveals your actual priorities, which often differ sharply from your stated priorities.
Most people say family, health, and meaningful work matter most. Their calendars tell a different story — meetings that could be emails, draining social obligations, and tasks someone else should handle. The essentialist closes that gap. The disciplined pursuit of less is not deprivation.
