LESSON 3 · Mind-Bending Thought Experiments
Living in Uncertainty
Whether or not we are simulated, the hypothesis changes how you think about reality. It forces the question: what makes something real? If your experiences are genuine and your suffering authentic, does the substrate matter?
Practically, it changes nothing about how you should live. Simulated kindness is still kindness; simulated suffering is still suffering. The deepest lesson is epistemological: certainty about the nature of reality is unavailable, so you must live well despite it.
