Tyler Durden's Thesis

Fight Club (1999) follows an unnamed narrator (Edward Norton) whose insomnia-fueled emptiness leads him to Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a charismatic anarchist who channels male frustration into underground fighting and eventually domestic terrorism.

The film argues that consumer culture has emasculated modern men, replacing meaningful identity with brand loyalty. Tyler's solution — destroying civilization and rebuilding from scratch — is seductive, articulate, and ultimately revealed as fascistic.
