Waking Up

The Matrix lasts because its questions keep aging well:

• The red pill versus blue pill names every fight between a comfortable lie and a hard truth
• Bullet time turned an inner shift, waking up, into something you could see
• The gender reading adds a layer about finding an authentic self
• It proved an action movie could carry the weight of real ideas

In 1999 the film asked whether reality is real. Deepfakes, feeds, and AI have made that question impossible to shrug off. The Matrix was not ahead of its time. The time caught up.
