High Context, Low Context

High-context communication often relies on implication, timing, and shared background. Low-context communication tends to make the message explicit. Neither style is better; each can confuse the other when expectations collide.

In some cultures and teams, silence can signal thought, respect, or caution. In others, it may read as disagreement or disengagement. Do not decode silence from your own habit alone; ask or observe the local pattern.
